Founder of Stallard Scientific Editing, Managing Editor, and Earth Science Editor

Aaron completed his MSc (Hons) degree in Earth Science at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand in 1994, followed by a PhD (Earth Science) at James Cook University, Australia. Subsequent research posts included a 2-year JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship at Shizuoka University, Japan, and a 4-year FRST Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
Aaron has a strong university-level background in all fields of geology and geography, and a specialized research background and publication record in tectonics, and structural and metamorphic geology ( see below to see a list of Aaron’s publications). In recent years, Aaron has used his extensive experience in research and writing/publishing to edit hundreds of manuscripts in all fields of Earth and environmental science, including solid-earth geology, seismology, remote sensing, ecology, meteorology, forestry, climate change, oceanography, and environmental modeling, to name a few.
